Four years ago early May I started my leadership studies at the Australian Institute of Management. Still remember the warm welcome from the institute and participants towards this exotic student from Switzerland.

A couple of month later my wife Alexandra and I moved to Sydney and I started to explore the software business in down under - up to joining my dream company Hootsuite in April 2020.

May the fourth falls on a Monday this year, the ideal occasion to invite you to a virtual birthday party in form of a Zoom webinar and have a great time over video!

For this occasion I would like to launch my contribution to the new book "Lessons I Learnt" with eleven Aussie authors sharing their stories of courage and vulnerability.

My part "From Laid Off to Paid Off" covers my journey out of a company redundancy as a chance for change. I will read portions of it with a range of great images from our travel blog.
